Walking Group

The  “Perambulators”  is  the Furzedown Project’s  walking  group.

Our  aim  is  to  offer  interesting  and challenging  walks  of  5 -12  miles within  easy  travelling  of  SW16.

Each  walk  is  mapped  & scouted.  We usually  meet  at  the  Project  at  9.00 before  setting  off  for  the  day. We  welcome new walkers.

Our next planned walk

Monday 16th March – Barnes Bridge to Richmond  6 miles – Led by Philip Bradley

Meet outside the Project at 9:00 a.m.

We will make our way to Clapham Junction and then to Barnes Bridge. This walk is within the Oyster Card Zone.

It is roughly 3 miles from Barnes to Kew Gardens where we will stop to visit the gardens.  The Project has negotiated free entry to Kew Gardens, so we would ask that only members of the Furzedown Project join us for this walk. You can join any time by calling in at the Project.

After an extended stop in Kew Gardens we will walk to Richmond from where we will make our way home.

We look forward to you joining us.
