Walking Group

Walking

The  “Perambulators”  is  the Furzedown Project’s  walking  group.

Our  aim  is  to  offer  interesting  and challenging  walks  of  5 -10  miles within  easy  travelling  of  the Project.

Each  walk  is  mapped  and scouted.  We usually  meet  at  the  Project  before  setting  off  for  the  day. We aim to have at least one walk each month. We  welcome new walkers.

Caterham Circular – 6 miles

Date: Tuesday 16th August

Led by Liz & Mike Richards

Meet at the Project at 9.00 am

We will walk to Streatham Common station to catch the 9:41 train to Caterham. Caterham is within the freedom pass zone.

From the station we will make our way to the North Downs Way and a view over the Kentish Weald. We will then continue to the Harrow Pub. There is a handy log a short distance from the pub for those who want to bring a picnic lunch. The pub will be our only toilet stop.

After lunch we will return to Caterham and may, with luck, see some of the many deer in this area..

Walks will be advertised here, and on the Furzedown Network Chat Group, and you can send your email to liz.richards@btinternet.com  for notifications.
