African and Caribbean Literature Book Club

The African and Caribbean Literature Book Club meets to read and discuss mainly fiction and memoirs by writers from these countries. This canon of literature deals with themes which are historically, politically and culturally important, to understand the economics, development and dynamics of the countries involved. Each month we try to focus on a writer from a different country.

The Group meets on the third Tuesday evening of every month between 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, April 23 and the book to be reviewed is the classic “Fireflies “ by Shiva Naipaul a Trinidadian writer.
