Legacies

Please consider leaving a legacy to The Project in your Will, any amount can make a difference and will help us continue to provide activities, support and friendship for many years to come.

“The Project provides me with the opportunity to meet nice people and to feel that there’s a purpose to my days. I plan to leave a gift in my Will to help them continue this wonderful work in our community for many years to come!”

You might decide to add a supplement to your existing Will to make an amendment – known as a codicil – and we have a codicil form available in our office which will simply need to be filled in and witnessed. Keep your signed codicil in the same safe, secure place as your Will.

If you haven’t yet made a Will we can’t recommend a particular solicitor, but we suggest you contact the Law Society who can provide details of local solicitors.

Free Wills Month takes place in March and October every year and you can get a simple Will written or updated free of charge by a participating solicitor. The focus is on leaving a gift to larger national charities but you are not obliged to and we hope you will consider including The Furzedown Project. Appointments are limited and are allocated on a first–come first–served basis. To find out more visit freewillsmonth.org.uk
