Book Club

Reading

Lively debate on topical issues, opinions on authors and their works.

Book Club

We are a small relaxed book group who just enjoy reading and talking about books. Because we are all over 60, our discussions tend to have that slant to them – how things look from our perspective.
The group is led by Caroline Mitchell, a librarian from Tooting Library, who always provides the selected books for the group ahead of time, which is a great advantage.

Books we have read include The Green Road by Anne Enright and The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, check out upcoming books in our online events calendar.

We’re always happy to have new people come along and share our morning. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the book, our discussions are pretty wide ranging.
