Part-Time Administrator, 2 days per week 

We are seeking a task-orientated and organised part-time administrator.  This role is critical to ensure the smooth running of our office.  The job involves financial administration, co-ordinating volunteers and the transport team in addition to managing the Customer Relationship Management System.

Job Description 

  • To assist the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial tasks.
  • Manage the Customer Relationship Management System.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, support and training of volunteers at the project in consultation with the Director.
  • To maintain accurate statistics, produce quarterly reports and records for evaluation and monitoring.
  • Work with volunteers, members and staff to improve class attendance numbers. Organise and promote activities to include use of social media channels. Develop new initiatives. 
  • Manage transport team i.e. co-ordinating and maintaining driver/escort rota. Monitor and keep track of minibus services and repairs.
  • Set up and set down of equipment for activities.  
  • To undertake other appropriate tasks as directed by the Director in line with the objectives of the Furzedown Project.
  • To work on own initiative.
  • To work as a member of the Project’s staff team.
  • To accept, and work within the Project’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
  • To be able to identify priorities and manage own workload.
  • To attend supervision and relevant training when required.

Personal Specification

Essential

  • Numeracy and spreadsheet skills.
  • Knowledge of good working practices with volunteers and experience of organising/supporting volunteers.
  • Ability to produce reports and publicity material.
  • MS and CRM experience.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Physical ability to move equipment and furniture.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
  • A working knowledge and commitment to Equal Opportunities.

Desirable

  • A knowledge of services and benefits available to older people.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and social media platforms.
  • Previous experience of working in the voluntary sector.
  • Experience of community working.

Salary £13, 000 pro-rata over 2 days.  Hours 11am-5pm Tuesdays and Thursdays initially.
